MTH Excavations
Creative Direction | Logo Design | Brand Identity
A regional earthmoving and excavation business needed a mark tough enough to sit on steel and mud — not a website ornament, a jobsite asset. It has to work shrunk to a door decal, embroidered on a shirt, and printed on a ute tray at 40kph.
The wordmark does one job: MTH, built heavy enough to read from a distance, with a single line cutting through it; a horizon, a ridge, a road being cut into the land. It's the only piece of "concept" in the whole mark, and it's earned: this is a business that moves earth for a living, so the logo has one literal gesture and nothing else.
Red and black keep it industrial rather than corporate. No gradients, no soft edges, nothing that would print inconsistently on a decal cutter or fade oddly on a truck door in western NSW sun. The circular badge variant exists for one reason: equipment and signage need a mark that survives being small, round, and seen from a moving vehicle.
This isn't a brand built to be looked at. It's built to be recognised at speed, on-site, at a glance.
